Four Characters, One Space?

My four characters are Jeremiah, Angel, Tarel and Amiee.

These four met when they were small children in a little village back in the 17th century. They each met through a string of pain in their lives.

Jeremiah's Story:
Jeremiah can control the element of Earth. When he was younger, he learned what his powers could do, but kept them a secret for the longest time because he was afraid of them. Jeremiah came home one night to find his mother dead in their cabin house. His father was mentally disturbed in many ways and fled soon after he had realized what he had done. Jeremiah has been an orphan ever since the age of 8. He soon meets Angel, the not-so-rich boy of the village who also has a few secrets of his own. Through Angel, Jeremiah is no longer afraid of his power.

Angel's Story: Angel was born as a mistake. His father was a brave warrior for the Lady of the land and was also in love with her. His mother was a demon and, before the Lady, he was in love with her. When she became pregnant, his love for her only grew. When she had the baby, she ran away and was never heard from again. Angel's father figured that only a demon could cause this much pain and, from that day, developed a strong hatred for every demon he had ever come across. He treated his son much the same. Angel was very disconnected from his father for many reasons. One because he was everything his father hated. Angel was indeed a half - demon, but learned that he was immortal at a young age and that he could control the element of Fire. He, unlike Jeremiah, experimented with his power and learned the basics of what he could do. Once his father delcared war against the Lady he was working for and grew to fall in love with, Angel began wondering around the village in search for friends. He met Jeremiah and the two of them became in separable.

Tarel's Story: Tarel has always been a very shy and well-mannered boy. His father was an alcoholic and used to constantly beat his mother when he got home from wherever he had been that night. One night, Tarel was watching his mother get beaten, just like any other night, but something inside of him set off. He was suddenly very angry and with all of his strength, he used the air against his father and blew a gaping hole through him, killing him instantly. It was that night that Tarel learned he could control the element of Wind. He knew that he was trying to protect his mother but he still could not believe that he had killed someone. Scared and alone, he ran from his house and got lost in the woods. Jeremiah and Angel found him later that night and vowed to take care of him until he was able to move on. But he never did. The three of them were always together. They all realized that they all had the same gift and that they had to be together, solely for that reason.

Aimee's Story: Aimee was the daughter of the Lady of the Land who fell in love with a demon. With that demon, she had three children. Aimee was the youngest of the three and a half demon like her older brother. Her oldest brother turned out to be a full demon. It was at this time that Angel's father had declared war with Aimee's father who was a demon. Angel's father had gotten every man in the village to believe in his way of thinking. Together, they locked up each woman and child in the village in their houses and burnt them down. Next, they went after Aimee's house. They killed her mother and father, while her brothers ran off in different directions. By the time the fire died down and the other villagers left, Aimee came out of the bush she was hiding in and looked around at what used to be her home. That's when Jeremiah, Angel, and Tarel appeared and promised to take care of her. At first, she was afraid of them and when she tried to attack, a small trickle of water appeared out of her hands. They explained to her that she was the missing element of water and that she needed to stay with them.

The four of them, now finding eachother, live each day together and take care of one another just as they promised. Through the pain in all of their lives, it brought them together under the most unnatural circummstances that it seems unbelievable. In fact, it is. Destiny brought the four together and will keep them together until the end of time.
