Does personality make a person, or does a person make a personality?

I believe that when a person does certain things, they set a personality for other people to judge them by. If a person were to suddenly start smoking, other people would look at them and call them stupid for doing that. Smoking doesn't actually make up that person's attitude about everything. Just because that person is into something at the time, doesn't mean that they are any different from when they didn't smoke. Of course there's the cravings and frequent smoke breaks, but other than that, a person doesn't change completely. That's just dumb!

Basically, when someone is into something new, people always have something to say about it. They judge that person based on the new information they have on them, alot of time, without really knowing anything about them. A girl could change her style or hair and other girls will always have something to say, and whether it's positive or negative, people judge regardless. Again, it's just dumb! :)

  1. What do you mean by dumb? not the right thing to do? offensive? I think when people judge too much (cuz we all do it) or base a lot of their decisions on the judgements they make, they are only hurting themselves by cutting themselves off from the people around them and missing opportunities to engage new people or try new things, which is dumb, in my opinion.
